Our non-experts weigh in on some of the biggest and oddest headlines of the past week: relationship advice columnist Dan Savage; John Ridley, author and blogger for the "Visible Man" blog at NPR.org; and conservative writer and commentator Nancy French, author of "A Red State of Mind."
1. Hillary Clinton officially withdraws from the presidential race today and endorses Barack Obama. She says she's not pressuring Obama about being his vice president, but she has said she's open to it. Would a Vice President Clinton be Good News, Bad News or No News?
2. As world leaders met in Rome to discuss rising food prices and food shortages, agro-biotechnology leader Monsanto said it's working on seeds that will double the yield of corn, soybeans and cotton in 20 years and require less water, land and energy to grow. Does that sound to you like Good News, Bad News or No News?
3. A self-proclaimed Christian group has launched a Web site for use when Jesus returns and initiates the Rapture -- it's called YouveBeenLeftBehind.com You can use it to send an email to unsaved friends who are left behind to undergo the tribulation period, and maybe you'll reach them in time to find God. Is this gospel the Good News, or is it Bad News or No News?
