Every week we do our best to find out what's happening this weekend in America. But we know that some stuff falls through the cracks. Okay, a lot of stuff falls through the cracks. We're remedying this situation by taking a peek into your photo albums, at least the ones you post on Flickr. On our Web site we've devoted a page to 98 random pictures taken last weekend, posted on Flickr, with "weekend" or "Weekend America" in the tag.

Every time the page loads, you'll see something different: maybe kids at a birthday party, a bride sneaking a cigarette at her wedding, a sunset, flowers, a close-up of a human eyeball. It's really amazing all things that we do with our weekends. To inaugurate our America's Weekend Flickr page we asked the photographers of a few of the coolest pictures that popped up this week to describe their pictures.
