Something we've always tried to do on this show is cover sports from a different perspective than, say, ESPN would. Or anyone would. When we've talked about football, for instance, we've done stories on the long snapper - the guy who's only job is to hike the ball in punting or kicking situations. We've also talked to the last two Mr. Irrelevants, guys who were picked dead last in the NFL draft. So as the Super Bowl is played this weekend, we're not going to talk about the Steelers, the team that's rich in victorious tradition and favored to win the game. No, we're talking Arizona Cardinals. A team that no sane person would have predicted would be playing in the big game. Will Leitch is the founding editor of the sports web site Deadspin.com, and a true lifelong Arizona Cardinals fan.
