As you might have seen, we've been making this magical computer collage of your pictures of the weekend from Flickr on our Web site. It randomly grabs the latest 98 pictures from Flickr that are tagged "Weekend America" -- or just "weekend" -- and posts them on our Web site. It's been looking really cool lately, and we decided to ask a few of the photographers who appeared on it to tell us about their photos, and their weekends.

Notes from Online Editor Neille Ilel:

Watching the Weekend America Flickr page--which we're calling America's Weekend via Flickr--in the last month has been truly beautiful. It's amazing all the interesting, funny, touching and just plain weird things that people do with their weekends.

There have been a lot of days at the pool. The numbers of which are matched only by days at the beach (and maybe on the lake). There have been lots and lots of photos of barbecues, birthday parties and vacations in distant cities, as well as pictures of delicious food and breathtaking landscapes. There are also a lot of stories to be extrapolated: someone's had too much to drink at a family get together; a trip that ends in a marriage proposal; a college reunion. Looking at people's weekends can be pretty addictive.

We'd love it if you participate too. It's easy. When you post images of your weekend on Flickr, just make sure they are designated with the Creative Commons license and have "Weekend America" as one of the tags.
