Poll - Smoking Ban

Public Radio Weekend Poll - Smoking Bans
Over recent years, many cities and counties across the U.S. have proposed, passed and punted bans on smoking in public and private locales. From beaches to bars, smokers are losing ground, slowly but steadily, on the grounds that second-hand smoke kills -- and cigarette butts are simply obnoxious.

Two years ago, citizens in Tempe, AZ, passed a smoking ban initiative. Today, opponents of the law point to the closed doors of dozens of restaurants and bars, while supporters celebrate their smoke-free environment. Meanwhile, in Minneapolis/St. Paul, city council members and citizens are currently debating the real risks of a smoking ban in their own cities. A state-wide ban, some people say, would keep many customers from skipping town to the closest free-smoking suburb, and thereby save many local businesses.

Do you support the recent trend of anti-smoking legislation?
Yes, I agree with the recent legislation
No, I think we've gone too far in regulating where we can / can't smoke.
