This house on Kimberley Street in Cleveland's Glenville neighborhood is where Superman co-creator Jerry Siegel lived with his family and created the famous cartoon character. A 19-year-old Siegel reportedly couldn't sleep one summer night in 1934 and mulled over different ideas for a Superman character. In the morning, Siegel ran about 10 blocks to his friend Joe Shuster's apartment with ideas he'd written down on bits of paper. Jefferson Gray, the home's current owner, chose to paint it blue and red, Superman's colors. He says he's a fan, too.
