Benny Pete, tuba player and leader of the Hot 8 Brass Band, took us to his neighborhood, the 9th Ward, to see how it looked. We stopped at Fats Domino's house, which is something of a neighborhood icon. Benny told us about how he, like everyone else in the neighborhood, would occasionally chat with Fats outside his house. It says RIP Fats on his house; of course he's not dead. Benny Pete says he believes there are more bodies in the rubble in the 9th Ward, though, and he doesn't think the government has made them a priority.
