Pass Christian, Mississippi, was hit hard last year by hurricane Katrina. Ninety percent of homes in the town were destroyed, and most of the town's residents are still living in FEMA trailers. The Pass Christian Pirates, a high school football team, really felt the sting. Many of the players, and the coaches, lost everything. Independent producer Eve Troeh stopped by the football field to see how this season is going.
Then...
This is the 10th anniversary of Cruisin' the Coast, a festival celebrating cool cars that takes place on the Mississippi coast. Last year, the festival was put on hold because of lingering Katrina effects. But this year it's back in full force. At the festival, Riki and Richard Odom are celebrating their 22nd wedding anniversary. Their romance blossomed over a car--he was her mechanic--and every year they celebrate at Cruisin' the Coast. Barbara talks with them from Bay St. Louis, Mississippi.
