Heather Ryan earned an MFA in Fiction from the University of Oregon in 2006. She's written for Salon and Wondertime, among others. She also writes the blog Terrible Mother, and is working on a memoir about single parenthood, academia and the writing life. She teaches writing at the University of Oregon.
